Blinkit Launches AI Recipe Rover

Quick-commerce entity, Blinkit announced this month that it has generated thousands of recipes at once – powered by GPT 3.5 and GPT 4 – on its platform. Termed as AI Recipe Rover, the provision allows for creation of an almost unlimited repository of recipes to be available through the app’s search bar, along with a curated list of products that one needs to cook these recipes. With the help of Stable Diffusion 1.5 and Midjourney techniques, the platform supplements the recipes with the relevant images.

With the aim to enhance customer experience on its platform, Blinkit – through AI Recipe Rover – offers a range of simple recipes with ingredients that can be quickly delivered by it. Each recipe also aims to provide information about the macro-nutrients that the meal contains.

Recipe Rover is now available to all customers on Blinkit. Can’t wait to see what we build next using AI which brings meaningful impact to our customers.

Fun fact: The team has started writing more than 50% of their code with the help of AI already.

Explaining the provision on a blog, Blinkit stated that “when customers search for popular keywords, the app displays recipe image cards under the search results. These recipes are complete with ingredients to order, nutrition information, and cooking directions.”
