element14 offers UV-resistant sealed circular plastic connectors from TE Connectivity in Asia-Pacific
Bangalore, India, October 13, 2014: element14 offers UV-resistant sealed circular plastic connectors (CPC) from TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity, expanding its portfolio of over 210,000 connectors. These heavy-duty connectors are manufactured with UL-F1 rated resin to meet industry standards for long-term UV exposure, ensuring the housings are suitable for outdoor applications such as transportation, aerospace and defense, industrial machinery and building automation where connectors may be subject to extended or frequent exposure to sunlight. Their circular design maximizes contact density and reduces space requirements for power and signal interconnections.

These products are sealed to IP67 and require no additional enclosure for protection from water exposure, saving time and installation costs. The housings are available in three series and are designed to handle standard and high density signal, power with current up to 50A per contact, and combinations of signal and power in the same housing. CPC Series 1 and Series 6 have a UL voltage rating of 600V (AC or DC) and Series 5 is rated at 250V (AC or DC).
