GIGABYTE India eyes 40% motherboard market share in 2014

GigabyteMumbai, India, February 01, 2014: GIGABYTE Technology (India) Pvt. Ltd, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, is eyeing a market share of over 40% of the Indian Do It Yourself (DIY) PC motherboard in 2014.

To achieve this market share, the company has enhanced its sales and marketing initiatives at Tier 2 regions comprising mainly Class C and D cities. It feels the DIY markets in these regions are yet to be effectively tapped by PC component vendors in spite of the growth of demand, and of tech-savvy end-users therein. GIGABYTE motherboards, with its innovative features and power-saving technologies, have a lot to offer users in such cities, who are increasingly demanding PC systems with improved performance and high durability.

As has been its initiative in the last couple of years, GIGABYTE Technology plans to continue adding more channel partners (Tier 2 partners officially called GIGABYTE Value Partners) and spread in the upcountry markets. This will be mainly facilitated by conducting regular reseller training meets at these locations.

Sunil Grewal, Director – Sales, GIGABYTE Technology (India) said, “We believe timely and streamlined information is key to the success in our kind of business, wherein technology upgrades are quicker. Our reseller interactions involve unique, simplified programs to educate them. This ensures that they are authoritatively equipped to efficiently guide and support their customers, with regard to GIGABYTE motherboards and their technologies.”

Lucrative Channel Schemes

Ensuring increased profitability of GIGABYTE Value Partners, who are mostly spread across Class C and D cities, is of paramount importance to the company. To make this possible, GIGABYTE Technology runs the lucrative online GIGABYTE Value Partner Program (GVPP) scheme for its Value Partners.

Gigabyte-Value-Partner-Program

The scheme is open only for resellers registered on the scheme website (http://event.gigabyte.com/india_reseller), who buy GIGABYTE motherboards from the company’s authorized distributors and GIGABYTE Premium Partners. They have to enter the purchased motherboards’ serial and check numbers on to their page on the website, to win reward points. As resellers will win gifts worth the same amount as the number of points earned, more purchases will ensure more prizes. Partners earn more points by purchasing higher end motherboards.

Innovative Technologies

GIGABYTE Technology is focusing and banking on its 8 series motherboard range (that supports Intel 4th generation Core processors) for achieving its 2014 market share target. Equipped with a range of new features and technologies, including industry-leading digital power delivery, advanced network and device charging, gold plated hardware, new designed UEFI DualBIOS, GIGABYTE App Center and killer good looks, GIGABYTE 8 series motherboards are the most forceful choice for your next rig.

The motherboard models from GIGABYTE’s 8 Series range that are expected to sell in huge numbers in 2014 are GA-B85M-D3H, GA-H87M-D3H and GA-Z87M-D3H, the approximate price of which are Rs. 6,500, Rs. 7,500 and Rs. 9,900 respectively.
