GIGABYTE-promoted Mumbai Electronic Sports Championship 2014 attracts 135 Teams
Mumbai, India, May 16, 2014: A large number of PC gamers from across Maharashtra took center stage on April 26 and 27, 2014, at Viviana Mall, the biggest mall in Thane district, situated in the outskirts of Mumbai. As many as 135 teams turned up to display their gaming skill sets and acumen at the mall, wherein 80 teams played Counter Strike (CS) 1.6, and 55 teams played Dota 2.
The gamers were vying for the Mumbai Electronic Sports Championship (MESC) 2014, the biggest gaming event held anywhere in India in recent times.
MESC 2014 also gave GIGABYTE Technology (India) Pvt. Ltd., a leading manufacturer of motherboards, a grand platform to connect with the local gaming community. The company was associated with the championship as the Gold Partner. It also provided its premium motherboards as prizes for the winners.
The event was organized by Cyber Gaming Community (CGC), a major Indian gaming event management company.
