HP launches Windows notebook PCs and tablets and reinvents the Desktop PC for the home
New Delhi, India, January 14, 2014: HP India has announced a range of new consumer products – an 11.6-inch notebook HP Stream, two tablets including the HP Stream 8 and HP Slate 6 VoiceTab II, and one palm sized desktop HP Pavilion Mini Desktop designed to boost performance and maximize productivity to transform the way people engage and consume content.

HP Stream- A NEW kind of notebook PC
The innovative HP Stream is a new kind of Windows notebook PC that provides unsurpassed value in a thin and light package, and includes value-added services with free cloud storage for instant access and sharing of content with 1TB of Microsoft OneDrive for one year; Office 365 Personal for one year to edit, share or collaborate in real-time.
In the past customers have had to choose between expensive thin and light or less expensive PCs that were typically thicker and heavier. HP Stream customers can enjoy the best of both worlds in a thin, light and affordable notebook PC with the power for most every day computing tasks.
Customers can enjoy entertainment in high-definition (HD) with an 11.6” HD display. While the innovative fan-less design with high efficiency Intel Celeron processor and 32GB of eMMC flash memory allows for quiet, cool operation and quick file recall, the stunning color and stylish gradient design available in Horizon Blue is sure to turn heads.

Design
Consumers want a powerful and refined desktop PC to complement their personal style and homes without creating more clutter while maintaining a designated place for friends and families to come together to share, create, and be entertained. At only 2.06 inches in height and weighing just 630 grams. the HP Pavilion Mini Desktop can fit in the palm of a hand. It maximizes productivity enabled by Windows 8.1 and supports processors up to Intel Core i3. Customers can store and connect to more videos and photos with up to 1 TB storage and up to 8 GB of expandable memory. Consumers can also immerse themselves in casual gaming and entertainment using the dual display support with DisplayPort and HDMI compatible ports, giving them the ability to stream and access content on multiple screens, including TV with Quad HD support.
HP Pavilion Mini Desktop
The HP Pavilion Mini Desktop is ENERGY STAR certified, drawing up to 45 watts of power compared to 250 watts for a typical tower PC. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth allow customers to connect with Bluetooth accessories. With the decline use of optical DVD media in a more connected digital world, the HP Pavilion Mini Desktop does not include an optical drive. External USB optical drive can be used through any of the four USB ports. The HP Pavilion Mini Desktop comes in Snow White to effortlessly complement home décor.
HP Stream 8
The HP Stream 8 Windows tablet keep customers connected to work, friends and content all at an exceptional value. The cloud-connected, Intel-powered 8” tablet includes one year of Office 365 Personal, 1TB of Microsoft OneDrive storage for one year, and a full Windows 8.1 experience.
Customers can fully personalize their tablet with Start screen, live tiles and a dynamic lock screen and with multi-user support built-in, sharing the tablet between users is easy.
HP Slate 6 VoiceTab II
HP also launched the HP Slate 6 VoiceTab II, a lightweight, ultra-fast quadcore tablet combined with voice-calling that allows consumers to stay entertained and connected for work and play. With trusted HP performance, the device is engineered to elevate the user experience of everything from movies and music to gaming and the web. Powered by a quad-core processor, gifted with the speed of 3G, and topped off by a brilliant HD display, the HP Slate 6 VoiceTab II sets smooth, skip-free multi-tasking in motion. Running on Android 4.4 KitKat Operating System with built-in 3G Dual SIM capability, the HP Slate 6 VoiceTab II helps consumers stay connected at all times. The device also comes with power packed entertainment features such as front firing speakers, 2 megapixels front HD camera and 8 megapixels rear HD camera with flash. The HP Slate 6 VoiceTab II has 16GB built in storage expandable to 32GB via MicroSD card.
Pricing and Availability
The new products are expected to be available in India from January, 2015.
