Huawei Appoints Abigail Sarah Brody as Chief Designer of User Experience
New Delhi, India, November 9, 2015: Huawei has announced the appointment of Ms. Abigail Sarah Brody as Chief Designer of User Experience (UX). The appointment is part of Huawei’s on-going efforts to recruit top-class talent from around the world, as the company further grows its leadership in the global consumer electronics market.
The latest announcement of strengthening User Experience team, will help the company further strengthen the design element in Huawei’s smart device products. In her new role, Ms. Brody will lead a team of 80 UI designers in developing creative UI design experiences and the look and feel for Huawei Consumer BG’s range of leading smart device products. In conjunction with Ms. Brody’s appointment, Huawei Consumer BG is also in the process of establishing a UX R&D design studio in Silicon Valley (San Francisco) in the United States. Huawei already has a R&D center in Bangalore, with over 5000 employees that focus on increasing overall user experience and developing localized solutions for Indian customers.
Recently, renowned designer, Prof. Jimmy Choo Yeang Keat, was presented with New Zealand’s 1st Huawei Watch. Expressing his delight on the occasion, Prof. Jimmy said, “I was delighted to be welcomed by Huawei and presented with my first (and New Zealand’s first) Huawei Watch. The quality of the watch is amazing and I am looking to test it to its full potential.”
Some of the latest design innovations in Huawei smartphones includes the recently launched Honor 7’s metallic design, built for single-handed use with a host of smart functions operated through its dedicated smart button and gesture-enabled fingerprint reader, additionally, Honor 6 Plus, whose back design is the perfect combination of technology and nature with its rear shell made of glass fiber.
