Idea sets 1,000 customer service centres across Maharashtra & Goa to support 3G

Pune, India, July 8, 2015: The largest mobile operator in Maharashtra & Goa, Idea Cellular, is the first to achieve a landmark 1,000 customer service centres. Servicing over 2 Crore subscribers in the region, Idea has revamped its customer service delivery systems and expanded customer touch points. It has added new format stores and service centres catering to evolving mobile consumers’ needs for faster data services. Idea currently has 3G coverage in over 5,000 towns and villages in Maharashtra & Goa.

With its commitment to enhance customer experience, the company has been adding one store per day on an average, in the calendar year 2015. The company further plans to continue adding service centres across the circle at the same pace. Out of the 1,000 showrooms in the region, 300 centres cater to prepaid and post-paid subscribers in the urban market and are one stop shops offering all Idea products and services. The remaining 700 service centres provide services to prepaid customers in semi- urban and rural market, in addition to having the facility for postpaid subscribers to deposit their bills. Service executives at these centres are trained to assist customers with plans & settings for 3G services and provide them with the best mobile internet experience in the region.
