We, eScan, welcome the initiative of “Digital India” announced by our Honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and we look forward to playing our part in making this initiative a grand success. The vision of “Digital India” is to empower every citizen with easy access to various services in Government, Private and even on personal front, thanks to the advent of smartphones which can make m-governance a reality. This also brings in a lot of security issues as initiatives like digital locker and digital certificates can lead to large-scale of identity thefts if they are not completely secured. We should also raise the awareness on the importance of security at the end user level by having strong protection at the endpoints.
