Review of HP Officejet Pro 6830 e-All-in-One
Hello friends, today, I’m reviewing the HP Officejet Pro 6830 e-All-in-One printer. Launched last year for the small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), this printer promises to provide professional quality documents. As the name suggests, it is an all-in-one printer, which means it can print, copy, scan, fax and has web support.

Design:
HP Officejet Pro 6830 e-All-in-One Printer is compact in design. There is a touch 2.65″ (6.75 cm), gesture-enabled color touch screen allows for walk-up scan/copy/fax operation and there’s a front-mounted USB port for printing and scanning to and from a memory stick as well as options to scan remotely from a browser.
Working Review:
The printer can be programmed to print both sides of a page and has a duty cycle of 15,000 prints, that means that it is cabale of proving 15,000 prints in a month. In terms of speed we got around 4-5 pages per minute for mixed text and graphics documents and up to 10ppm for pure text with the first page typically appearing in around 15 seconds. Printing resolution for Monochrome and color are the same – upto 600 x 1200 dpi. This printer runs on HP Thermal Inkjet printing technology and has wireless connectivity and gives users the ease of getting e-prints.
We can also use this device for scanning documents. It runs on Contact Image Sensor technology for scanning and supports Bitmap (.bmp), JPEG (.jpg), PDF (.pdf), PNG (.png), Rich Text (.rtf), Searchable PDF (.pdf), Text (.txt), TIFF (.tif) file formats. We can also do Fax through this device. Fax speed is 4 sec per page.
It supports Plain paper, HP Photo Papers, HP Matte Brochure or Professional Paper, HP Matte Presentation Paper, HP Glossy Brochure or Professional Paper, Other photo inkjet papers, Other matte inkjet papers, Other glossy inkjet papers, Thick plain paper, etc for print out a paper.

We liked its power saving management, Power Supply for input voltage: 100 to 240 VAC (+/- 10%), 50/60 Hz (+/- 3 Hz); Power Consumption: 25 watts maximum, 4.9 watts (Active), 0.33 watts (Manual-Off), 1.35 watts (Sleep).
We all know that a printer is that one machine, which is always ON even when the nation is sleeping. And that only means it continues to consume power24x7, which means higher electricity bills. But this printer goes to sleep after minutes of inactivity and wakes-up within seconds.Less than 17 seconds to be exact. We liked this feature most.
Verdict:
All in one printers are expensive to run but the HP OfficeJet Pro 6830 can produce professional colour documents at up to 50% of the cost of a laser. In addition, it’s a great option to businesses that are on a tight budget. The OfficeJet Pro 6830 has ample of connectivity options plus a full complement of mobile printing and scanning tools. We definitely recommend this printer and give it a big thumbs up.
