Ringing Bells launched 31.5 inch LED TV and 7 new mobile handsets in India
Ringing Bells once again created a stir when they announced the launch of 31.5 inch HD LED TV in a price that was way below the price of other such televisions available in the market. The company also launched two smartphones, 4 feature phones and 3 power banks at the same time thus showing signs of expansion plans in near future. Additionally, company made it clear that starting July 8 they will be starting the phase wise distribution of their much-awaited smart phone Freedom 251, which is in fact the world’s cheapest smart phone so far.
The company will take pre-orders before beginning to ship the newly-launched products to the buyers and the payment will done cash-on-delivery. Talking about the competitively priced HD LED TV, Mr Mohit Goel, Director, Ringing Bells, said, ” We are focused producers who keep a tight perspective on Bill of Material (BOM), value engineering, productivity, cost of sales, economy of sales etc in mind while deciding the prices of their products. It is for this reason that we have been able to pull out stunning deals for our customers and we will keep doing so.”
Four feature phones are available under the name King, Boss, Raja and Hit, while smartphones are christened Elegant and Elegance. King and Boss come with a 2.4-inch TFT display, 2MP primary camera and support up to 32GB of expandable memory via microSD card. While the battery of King is 1,800mAh; Boss is backed by a 2,000mAh battery. The specifications of Raja is the same as King except that it sports a larger 2.8-inch TFT display. King, Boss and Raja are priced at Rs 899, Rs 999 and Rs 1,099, respectively. Hit comes with a 1.8-inch display, 2MP primary camera, 1,250mAh battery and is priced at Rs 699. The company is offering 180 days of replacement warranty on the phones. The two smartphones — Elegant (3G) and Elegance (4G Volte) — are priced at Rs 3999 and Rs 4499. Elegant has 5 inch HD IPS Display, 1 GB DDR3 RAM & 1.3GHz Quad core processor, 8 MP Rear & 3.2 MP Front Camera and 2500 mAh battery. Specification for Elegance are same except for the 2800 mAh battery.
Company assured that the after-sales services will be at par. It claimed that for mobile phones they have a tie-up with RV solutions Pvt. Ltd and for Led TV they are in advance stage dialogue and will ink agreement well in advance of our proposed delivery commencing July 30, 2016. “For distribution of the products we will be utilising on-line and off-line channels. For Off-line we have an extensive network of distributors and retailers gridding our Phase 1 target geography,” informs Mr Goel. The company will be assembling the products at a suitable facility for the phase I and has plans of manufacturing for the later stages.
As far as Freedom 251 is concerned the company is concentrating on delivering 5000 units in first lot and after tracking first lot’s feedback will proceed with subsequent lots to complete the promised 200,000 units over the ensuing months as early as possible.
The new look Freedom 251 is far better than the prototype that was displayed during the time of the launch few months back. The new sleek phone has pre-loaded apps that will make it easier for the customers to enjoy the whole experience of a smartphone. It is available in two colours — black and white.
Ringing Bells also denied the reports that there have been complaints that those who booked Freedom 251, have not been refunded with their money. “We have no complaint. Our Terms For FREEDOM251 are cash on delivery, therefore there can be no such complaint. For the first 29200 units booked online on 18/2/2016, a sum of RS. 84 lakhs ( including courier charges) was received by the payment gateway M/s CC Avenue prior to the server crash and all these funds have been refunded by the gateway itself. No funds were received by Ringing Bells. M/s CC Avenue Payment gateway has confirmed on 29/3/16 that all payments have been refunded to the respective customers. Post rectification and servers coming back online, only Customer Registrations were introduced and customers clearly advised that post confirmation of their orders , the Terms will be COD(cash on delivery). Therefore cash will be paid by customers only on delivery and therefore no room for any confusion or any advance,” clarifies Mr Goel.
