‘Rock The Vote with txtWeb’ contest gains momentum
Bangalore, India, March 24, 2014: ‘Rock The Vote with txtWeb’ contest is an initiative by txtWeb, a global text-based app platform from Intuit Inc., to provide an opportunity for young engineering enthusiasts to develop mobile apps on the theme of the much-awaited ‘Lok Sabha Elections 2014’.
The competition which began on March 14, 2014 will go on till March 31, 2014. The contestants are working in full swing to develop their innovative apps and some of the most interesting apps submitted as of now include @elections, @myvoice, @easyelection, among others. With such apps, txtWeb enables users, across any mobile device, to discover and consume information from the internet by simply SMSing keywords to one national number i.e. 51115. Users will be able to access information related to the upcoming elections, play interactive quizzes on politics, etc. There is no registration fee to be a part of this amazing contest. To participate, all that one has to do is log on to the registration link to fill in some details and get started!
Each contestant has adopted a unique approach for bringing their imagination to life. This contest provides an excellent opportunity to the engineering fraternity to try their hands on app development as well as be a part of an amazing platform that encourages exchange of innovative ideas.

All contestants will be judged on their creative fulfillment of the challenge and the winners will be announced on April 7, 2014. The first prize winner will receive a sum of INR 10,000 while the second and the third prize winners will receive INR 7000 and INR 5000 respectively.
