Useful tips that can help to effectively recover deleted files
Nowadays we are living in the technology era, where our important documents, photos, videos and other files are saved in our personal computer or laptop, but, due to some reasons, we lost some files or all files from our personal computer. When data is lost or deleted, there are three possible ways to recover deleted files, one is from Windows recycle bin, second is from backup and restore feature and third is from free data recovery software.
To recover deleted files from Windows recycle bin
If you just deleted your files on the computer by moving them to the Recycle Bin and didn’t press the Emptied Recycle Bin button, you can retrieve them back with ease. Just open the Recycle Bin, there locate and right-click the files you want and choose Restore. It will recover your deleted files to their original location.
Using Windows built-in free backup and restore feature
If you have emptied the Recycle Bin, you can try to recover an older version of the deleted or lost file using Windows built-in free backup and restore feature. To do it:
In Windows 7:
Click the Start button –> Computer, navigate to the folder that used to contain the file or folder, right-click it, and then click Restore previous versions. Here, you’ll see a list of available previous versions of the deleted files or folders with different times and dates. Choose the version you like and click Restore to recover deleted files back.
In windows 10/8.1/8:
Open the folder that used to contain the deleted file and click the History button. File History will display all the files contained in the most recent backup of that folder. Click the Previous button to locate and select the file you want to retrieve and then click the green Restore button to get it back.
To recover deleted files with data recovery software
If you want to recover the exact copy of your deleted files, you may need to try a third-party data recovery software.
