Videocon and Microsoft launch Windows 10 Powered TV

New Delhi, India, October 28, 2015: Videocon in collaboration with Microsoft today launched world’s first Windows 10 powered TV. Unraveling yet another era of televisions, the new LED TV powered by Windows 10 will exude both features of a TV as well as a PC.

One touch PC, One touch TV amalgamates information and entertainment world for the users to provide flexibility and ease of use. Equipped with Microsoft Office, the TV enables you to create and edit documents or presentations. The Windows 10 powered TV lets you move quickly from browsing to typing notes directly on web pages, and sharing them with others. Equipped with Windows Store, the PC opens the gateway to great built-in apps to access your favorite apps, games, music, movies etc. Screen Casting allows wireless transfer of photos, music & videos to your TV using the “All Cast” app. Videocon’s Windows 10 powered TV, provides access to the world of social media tools like Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, etc. The dual function of the LED Windows 10 powered TV makes it a perfect fit for one’s room where one can easily switch from work on PC to entertainment leisure on TV.

The device can be seamlessly tuned into the TV mode to access various television channels. The 98cm variant comes with a Full HD display that produces clearer and crisper pictures for a dazzling TV viewing experience. Videocon’s new range also has an in-built Wi-Fi function that automatically connects with the available networks for smooth internet accessibility. The MHL interface of the LED allows users to connect their smart phones, tablets and other portable consumer electronic gadgets while simultaneously charging the device. In addition, the TV comes with HDMI ports, 2GB DDR3 RAM and has 16 GB of internal storage which can be extended to 128 GB through the MicroSD slot. 

Comprising of 2 models in different screen sizes between 81cm and 98cm, Videocon Windows 10 powered TV will be available PAN India by November. Videocon will also be coming up with a special 360° advertising campaign that would be spread across all major media to build top of mind recall. Videocon aims to increase the depth of PC penetration in the county.

Availability: Videocon Windows 10 LED TV will be available through Videocon dealers and at all leading Outlets like Vijay Sales by November, 2015.
