Vivo X21 In-display fingerprint feature review and other cool features
Vivo has launched the world’s first In-Display fingerprint sensor smartphone Vivo X21, in India priced at Rs. 35,990. The device comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB as its internal storage and can be expanded to 256 GB using an external Micro SD Card. The best thing about this smartphone is that it comes with In Display Fingerprint Sensor i.e., the fingerprint Sensor is present just below the screen and is invisible.
In Display Fingerprint
The Vivo X21 has a 6.28-inch Full View Display with 19:9 aspect Ratio and 1080 x 2280 pixels as its resolution. The In-Display fingerprint sensor is present just above the capacitive home button.
How to Register Fingerprint on Vivo X21?
Registering the fingerprint on Vivo X21 is similar to that of any other smartphone, where you need to place the finger on the sensor region and lift it. To register your impressions on Vivo X21, open the settings and tap on Fingerprint, Face, and Password. In the new window, you need to set the Screen lock for your device which may be pattern, PIN or Alpha-Numeric Password. Once screen lock is set, click on fingerprint and enter the screen lock password. Now in the fingerprint window, click on Add fingerprint, On Display Fingerprint sensor area is displayed. Further, you need to place your finger on the sensor region and lift it repeatedly when it vibrates. Unlike a regular fingerprint sensor, it takes little time to add the fingerprint impressions on Vivo X21. Once the fingerprint is added, “Registered Successfully” message is displayed on the screen. Now click on the OK button, the fingerprint registration is successful.
We have tested the fingerprint sensor multiple times and couldn’t believe that I was able to unlock the device just placing a finger on the display. Thanks to Vivo X21’s In Display fingerprint sensor technology making things believable which were just part of imagination? The overall experience with Vivo X21’s fingerprint sensor was great but I can say that it lags sometimes while unlocking just by half a second. The In-Display fingerprint works accordingly while using the app lock function, where it subtly appears on the screen and taping on it leads to immediate authentication. Thus, making the user have a great experience while using the 6.28-inch Screen!
