5 Must have Indian Apps that can make PM’s vision of “atmanirbhar” and “vocal for local” a reality

In his last address to the nation in the lieu of Covid-19 Pandemic PM Narendra Modi laid his stress on ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat‘ ( Self-reliant India ) and ‘Vocal for Local’ where PM urged the nation to focus more on Indian made goods and services and promote #MadeInIndia across streams.

In line with the PM’s vision, below is the list of 5 must have Apps for every Indian to use and support Country’s national agenda to make this vision; a reality.

1.     Aarogya Setu

Launched by the Government of India, Aarogya Setu is a Bluetooth-based COVID-19 tracker. During the ongoing Lockdown this app is proactively reaching out to and informing its users about the risks, best practices and relevant advisories pertaining to the containment of COVID-19. Considering the sharp rise in cases, Aarogya Setu becomes important as it works on the basis of contact tracing and can help a user identify possible coronavirus ‘hotspot’ around his or her area. It can help people stay safe and adopt neccessary precaution in some areas where there are cases and accordingly, help stop or prevent community transmission to an extent.

2.     ShareChat

ShareChat is India’s own handcrafted multilingual social network founded by Indians, for Indians that demonstrates Indians’ sensibilities, needs and behavior. With people having limited access to newspapers in many parts of the country due to COVID-19 fears, Inshorts is being used by a number of users across India to keep themselves updated of the latest stories. Inshorts is a mobile app that gathers the most significant news of the day from multiple news sites and social media and summarize it in 60-words, with links to read the full story. Usually Inshorts includes news related to business, sports, bollywood and technology. However, these days it is keeping its users updated on latest Covid-19 related information. You can access this app in Hindi and English both.
