FUJIFILM India Expands National Footprint with New Endoscopy Center in Mumbai

FUJIFILM India has significantly enhanced its service infrastructure by opening its second largest service center in Mumbai. This new facility is dedicated to the rapid repair of its Gastroscopes, bronchoscopes, and high-end processors, ensuring quicker turnaround times and improved service delivery across India.

Since commencing direct service operations in 2018 with a dedicated endoscopy service center in Gurugram, FUJIFILM India has consistently invested in expanding its service network. Over the past six years, the company has established five major service centers in key regions and cities across India, along with two satellite centers designed to accelerate endoscope repairs and accommodate an increasing installation base. The newly launched Mumbai service center is equipped with state-of-the-art repair tools and technology, aimed at reducing service turnaround times and ensuring the swift delivery of repaired scopes. FUJIFILM India plans to further expand its service centers with advanced tools, technology, and increased manpower to reach both small and large cities.

Mr. Jumpei Toyoda, Endoscopy Division Fujifilm APAC expressed his excitement about this milestone, “India is a vast market with opportunity to serve a larger community and we are incredibly proud of our continuous efforts to strengthen our service network across India. The inauguration of the new service center in Mumbai marks a significant step forward in our mission to provide unparalleled support to our healthcare partners. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and advanced repair tools, we are committed to ensuring that our endoscopy equipment remains reliable and efficient, ultimately enhancing the quality of patient care. Our focus on expanding our service capabilities reflects Fujifilm’s dedication to innovation and excellence in the medical field.”

Mr. Dheeraj Chaudhri, Head of the Endoscopy Division added, “We are pleased to reach this important milestone of increasing our after-sales service capabilities to more than 20 states now. We have developed a high-class repair center with all the facilities and directly doing repairs of endoscopes in 8 different service centers located in various locations of the country. We understand that reducing the TAT of endoscopes repairs positively impacts the patient care pathways in the hospital and we have been investing year on year to expand our service team as well as the number of service centers across India keeping this vision in our mind. In addition to infrastructure and manpower expansion, we are also investing in training and education of the paramedic and technicians of the hospital through various trainings and education programs in collaboration with many hospitals. This step is to ensure that all the emergency and planned endoscopy procedures are least impacted in the hospital due to frequent accidental damages to the flexible endoscopes which are one of the delicate medical equipment in the endoscopy suites.”
